HOW TO AVOID HANGOVERS

You know by now that I truly enjoy a variety of wine and spirits. What I don’t enjoy is when a night of fun turns into a morning with a hangover! Although most people blame sulfites for the cause of hangovers, the real problem is good old DEHYDRATION!

The good news is I have a few tricks and tips up my sleeve to help you out!

KNOW YOUR TOLERANCE

- Not only in terms of quantity but also awareness of what you’re better off drinking. Learn how many drinks you can handle. But also, pay attention to your intolerances to certain aspects of your wine of choice. Try organic or low-sulfite wine and see how you feel!

INCORPORATE WATER BREAKS

- Try and have a glass of water for every glass of wine! The 1:1 rule!

EAT FOOD WHILE YOU DRINK

- Food helps absorb alcohol and allows the liver to slow down and process your drinks & do its job properly - Fun fact: it takes the liver about 4 hours to process half a bottle of wine!

SLEEP

- Try to cut it off 2 hours before you head to bed. This will help you get a better night’s rest and feel way better in the morning

✨My personal tips! I find that sticking to 1 type of drink (either wine or tequila) and making sure I have a proper dinner (& breakfast the next day) in, helps me!✨

And a few advil never hurt! 😉
